What is EMI? - Use tinned copper braided cables

In almost all the electronic / electrical circuits and around them exists a magnetic field (magnetic flux); which is generated as a result of waves of different voltage and amplitude which are generated by the systems employing magnetic devices like motors, turbines, rotors, generators and several other electronic components.

Under normal circumstances these electromagnetic waves are absorbed by the cables and other similar components running in vicinity of the generating devices and hence distort the actual signal of cable as a result of which the resultant signal or output is also distorted and inaccurate.

To supress this distortion a degree of uniform coverage of tinned copper braiding is essential to shield the cable from these interference waves.
