UNITRONIC LiYCY (TP) is a data transmission cable with particularly efficient screening against electromagnetic interference. The twisting of conductors into pairs in this reduces electrical crosstalk between adjacent pairs. It also offers good protection against capacitive influences from external eletrical fields, which are for example caused by parallel running power cables.

 

 


The twisted pairs are enclosed within a dense copper braid, forming and ideal flexible screen against interference from electromagnetic fields. At the same time the copper braid can serve as a signal earthing to ensure fixed potentials.

 

 


If paired screening is required for reasons of crosstalk attenuation, we recommend our UNITRONIC CY PIDY (TP)

(TP) = twisted pairs.

 

 


Fine strands of plain copper wire, PVC-based core insulation, cores twisted into pairs, pairs twisted into layers, colour coded to DIN 47100, film wrapping, screen braiding of tinned copper wire, outer sheath of special PVC-based compound pebble grey (RAL 7032), flame retardant according to VDE 0472, part 804, test type B (IEC 332.1).
