Cable Make-up

OLFLON PTFE switching strands are used for wiring and connections in switch cabinets with high heat developments, in measuring tools, furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, kitchen installation and installations in chemical industries.

PTFE is the best-known and most resistant polymer that has been used in the cable industry for many years

  • Temperature range: -190 degree C to +260 degree C
  • Non-flammable
  • High insulation resistance, specific resistance of >1 T Ohms x cm. High disruptive strength and high abrasion resistance
  • Minimum dielectric losses. The dielectric constant of 2.1 does not change from 0 Hz to 10 to the power of 9 Hzor between -190 degree C and +260 degree C.
  • Water absorption less than 0.01%
  • Fully resistant to water and ozone
  • Resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents, synthetic liquids, and oils
  • Resistant to soldering temperatures
  • High elongation, high breaking strength
  • Especially to be noted: very high resistance to aggressive, synthetic hydraulic liquids, as are used  e.g. in press construction.

The product conforms to 73/23/EEC directive (Low-Voltage Directive)CE.

Strands made of silver-plated copper wires, core insulation made of PTFE, flame-retardant.
